E MONUMENT

In the North of Japan, in a village of the Iwate region,
a sculptural objet monument has been realised.
It lights up with the colours of the four seasons
produced by the fog.

SUMMER

In a starry night.
In a slightly rainy day,
a typical early summer phenomenon of this province,
the fog and the mist are combining together
and create a poetical atmosphere.

AUTUMN

The red and yellow coloured leaves
sticking out in the blue of the sky
give life to the E Monument,
full of joy for the harvest and of profound meditation.

WINTER

Through the extreme purity of the white
and the profoundness of the blue,
the E Monument shows itself
in its sublime stillness and its tender expression.

SPRING

The joy of the return of the flowers and the green gives
the brightness to the E Monument

together with the Mt. Iwate
which sings the spring song in the background.

VIDEO BACKSTAGE

Most probably it is the first,
or surely one of the first example in Japanese history
where wood or concrete has always prevailed
as construction materials.
It is a tower of about 6 metres entirely built
of boulders of rock.
The pedestal of the tower is solid and earthquake proof.
